Brief Description & Uses

This rapid activity microplate kit is used to determine the activity of ATP synthase (Complex V) in a human or rat sample. The ATP synthase enzyme is immunocaptured within the wells of the microplate and the enzyme activity is measured by monitoring the decrease in absorbance at 340 nm. Specifically, the conversion of ATP to ADP by ATP synthase is coupled to the oxidation reaction of NAD+ to NADH with a reduction in absorbance at 340 nm.

Included in this assay kit are buffer, detergent, lipid mix, reagent mix and a 96-well microplate pre-coated with monoclonal antibody.

Also available is a rapid microplate assay for measuring the amount of ATP synthase in a sample (MS542), and a multiplexing microplate assay for measuring the specific activity of a sample (MS543).
