The Product Manager is the critical link between R&D;, marketing and production, and has primary responsibility for the efficient introduction of new products.Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap in conjunction with R&D;
- Work with R&D; prepare the required marketing and product documentation
- Set pricing and profitability goals
- Deliver quarterly forecasts
- Develop core positioning and messaging for the products
- Develop product focused sales tools and collateral
- Brief and train the marketing organization
- Act as a product champion within the company
- Work with third parties to assess partnership, supply and licensing opportunities
Personal Requirements:
Experience
- Sales and marketing experience in Life Science reagents industry, preferably with 3-5 years experience in product development as well.
Skills
- Genuine scientific interest
- Demonstrated planner/project manager
- Highly developed organizational skills with ability to handle multitasking, and time management
- Great communication skills interfacing between several teams within the company
- Communicate with opinion leaders and industry networking to help identify new opportunities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Operate well under pressure
- Good finance foundation
- Must be willing to travel, particularly to Europe
Minimum Qualifications
- BS, MS or PhD in chemistry or biological sciences.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD with 3+ years experience in the life sciences industry. Marketing qualifications a plus.
Salary:
