Sir John E. Walker - Director MRC Dunn Nutrition Unit Cambridge England. Nobel Laureate for Chemistry 1997 for his work on the mitochondrial ATP synthase. Researches the structure function relationships of several mitochondrial enzymes.
Douglas Wallace, Ph.D. - Director of the Center for Mitochondrial Medicine, UCI. Member National Academy of Sciences. Winner of the William Allan Award the American Genetics association highest award for contributions to human genetics, Awardee Metropolitan Life Foundation Research Award for studies of Alzheimeršs disease. He was the first to demonstrate a human mitochondrial lesion and is acknowledged leader in the field of mitochondrial medicine.
