The PDH Western blotting kit contains four different mAbs reacting specifically with E1 alpha, E1 beta, E2 and E2/E3bp. A mAb against the OSCP subunit of ATP synthase is included as a control. This mAb mixture can be used to probe the isolated pyruvate dehydrogenase for integrity and purity as shown in the figure at left. Also included in this kit are SDS-dissociated human heart mitochondria to use as a control for the identification of PDH subunits on the gel system chosen for analysis.
